CBOE will not launch new Bitcoin futures

The Chicago Stock Exchange (CBOE) will not launch new Bitcoin futures in March, motivating its decision by the need for an additional review of the approach to working with a digital asset.
The platform sent the corresponding notification to traders on Thursday, March 14th. The statement of the trading platform states:
The CBOE assesses its approach with regard to how it plans to continue to offer derivatives of digital assets for trading. At present, the CBOE is not going to transfer additional Bitcoin futures contracts for trading. At the same time, the exchange will leave Bitcoin futures contracts that were launched earlier available for trading. The last contracts expire in June of the current year. Note that CBOE, together with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), launched bitcoin futures at the end of 2017, when the largest digital currency exceeded $ 19,000.
Recently, however, the volume of trade in this asset began to fall on both trading floors against the background of a weaker investor interest in the cryptocurrency market.
